Congregate Housing
Congregate housing units are available for the frail elderly residents of Bristol who are no longer able to live completely independent, and may be looking for an option other than a nursing home.
These units promote and aim to increase self-sufficiency through provisional, supportive services in the residential units. At least one meal a day is provided, along with health aid, personal assistance, housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. Cost for congregate housing packages are considerably less than those of a nursing facility.
Eligibility for this program:
- Earn 80 percent of area median income or less as a household to qualify
- Be over the age of 62
- Have temporary/periodic difficulties with one or more essential activity of daily living
Congregate housing is available at the following location:
- Komanetsky Estates: 24 hour site monitor, weekly housekeeping, daily noontime meal, variety of group activities in the onsite community room.
